Breast Expansion in /AH

1Report
at 19 Mar 2012: 15:40

My opinion is that breast expansion should be in /a, not /ah. Hyper is allowed in herm and in alternative, and hyper is essentially the same thing as breast expansion. There is even an "expansion" thread in /a. Where/when/why was it decided that breast expansion belonged in the same board as scat, gore, and snuff? I have seen only one response on the new /ah breast expansion thread and that is "breast expansion in itself is misogynistic, and thus belongs with other forms of misogyny (rape, mutilation)." I don't think this reasoning has any merit, as from that perspective, ANY PORN involving females is misogynistic.

Hopefully this wasn't to tl/dr

You keep ignoring something.
HyperMuscle belongs in /a.
HyperPrimary and HyperSecondary Sexual Characteristics belong in /ah/.

We've asked Nadia what her reasoning was. Took a while to get her answer. She was out of the country.

"Fchan was never meant to be a platform for various people to promote their own agenda. It is not about what different subgroups may or may not think is proper, and pressure the rest of the users to adhere to their own views.

I remember the day I made that decision. It vexed me. More-so the idea of society and evolution working together to play a cosmic joke on us. Evolution gives a male breasts and society calls them his chest. It gives women a chest, and society calls them breasts.

What confuses me about all this is that I was always under the impression that hyper and inflation/growth were some of the more common/popular/"mainstream" things in the furry fandom.
Just going by peoples reactions to subject matter they don't like on, let's say FA for example, most people who don't like hyper (or at least those who speak up about it) aren't actually "squicked" or "grossed out", similar to most "tame" fetishes (e.g. feet), and unlike things like scat/watersports or gore which, from what I've seen, is either love it or hate it. I've never seen anyone express any sort of "middle ground" opinion for those.

If it were up to me (which it isn't and likely never will be), /a/ would be basically equivalent to 4chan's /d/, and /ah/ would basically be gurochan.

Differences between furries of past and now?

1Report
Eridan at 13 May 2012: 15:19

Greetings

After watch the T.V., read comics, books and novels, and also play videogames, I noticed how much the furry characters have been changed througn the past of years.   In the old days, they were just cute characters who tough lessons of truth, love, helping, etc. and today they do all sort of things, live a normal human life or even, save the universe.

So, I wanna know, what do you think about that?, and, now, what would be the next step?...

Who knows what could happen when the fresh young minds who've consumed a childhood of such fantasies, grow old enough to be trusted to use computers unsupervised. Gaining access to the wide open creative space that is the internet.

Anyone know why furries are given a hard time

1Report
at 2 Oct 2011: 16:48

Because i've been mocked on some boards about being a furry and such, and one board i got kicked from a anthropomorphics group because of my affiliation with furry sites which contain yiff but also have clean art,yet There is a Anime thread on the forums. I can say the same thing about anime what they're saying about us furries, like the fact that anime has hentai,Yaoi, and tentacle pr0n. Why do people give us furries a hard time yet are hypocrites when it comes to stuff like anime?

There ~may be a slightly higher ratio of socially awkward persons within the fandom, but I question what experiences you base this upon. Social psychology studies? Travelling to conventions? Visiting a few online forums? There are a great many intellectual, verbose furries I know who enjoy engaging in debate and discussion, not to mention every social study I've read doesn't support your claim.

I take issue with 'pride' and how people show it. Gay, furry, national: none of these are exceptional. Everyone has a sexuality, likes specific things, and was born/ lives somewhere. If you want to be proud, be proud of yourself as a person. As a whole. If you have a quality you consider particularly distinguishing; don't be ashamed of it, but don't wave it in people's faces.

I'm assuming you mean furry porn when you say anthro art as there's a large enough segment of the fandom who aren't into the erotic side of it. As for the whole furry/ zoo bit; many don't like the association. Some furs because they have no interest in such, some because they don't like the idea they may. I'm also sure the majority of people who buy Disney movies for their children don't see the 'clear' co-relation you mention.

That's probably true, if only because it's not exactly mainstream  - you have to spend a lot of time on the internet to even realise that furry is a *thing* to begin with, never mind that there's a whole community of people out there who enjoy it too. And socially awkward people are far more likely to spend a lot of time on the internet, because, well, they're socially awkward, and the internet doesn't require going outside and talking to people and stuff.

Personally I blame the cubs. Anything else you can explain away, but it's really difficult to make sexual attraction to children sound normal to much of anybody. Hell, the non-cub furries only really tolerate it themselves, and so that they can coexist peacefully with them.

Question for furries

1Report
at 14 Feb 2012: 23:44

Hello all.

I would like to preface this with an affirmation that I am not trolling you, nor am I attempting to offend anyone. If I do, I apologize, but I have always been of the opinion that you cannot partake in a meaningful dialogue without someone's sensibilities being damaged.

That said, I am not a furry. I am, however, interested in learning a bit more about furries, and instead of going to the hate machine (4chan) and asking them or simply relying on the many definitions that I have found on many different furry sites, I figured I would go directly to the source. That is, you! The furries at home reading this.

I definitely understand fetishes and that sort of thing. Personally, I love bondage, and I could not physically have sex with a woman who shaved her pubic hair; I simply would not find that attractive. What I find interesting about furry, however, is the fact that it is a fetish within several other fetishes. Looking through a few of the image boards here, I see both of my fetishes, along with many, many others, being addressed quite thoroughly. It appears that being a furry does not preclude participation in other fetishes, unlike other fetishes, making furrydom a sort of overlord of fetishes, with most others beneath it.

My main interest here is in finding out what you think causes a person to be predisposed to being attracted to the human form with animal-like characteristics (it is obviously not bestiality, for I have seen that addressed as well in the over-fetish that is furry).

In any case, that is my question/discussion starter. I hope I did not offend!

Again with this "furry iz spiritual, not porn!!!1!" bullshit?

22Report
at 11 May 2012: 14:17

I'm not a furry myself, but here is what I have come to.

For some, it is simply a love of anthropomorphic animals. Not much different than any other kind of thing people get deeply interested in. After all, not everyone who is into anime/manga likes hentai. Likewise, not everyone who is a furry is into the erotic side. Simple as that.

For others, it is sexual. I *never* found it gross in the slightest. It is actually quite comprehensible. Sex is associated with the more primitive, wild side of the human psyche. It is among our most primal urges. Since the wild is associated with the animalistic, combined with an envy of the uninhibited nature of animals, it is only natural. I even find the idea arousing myself.

For others, it is a spiritual thing or a form of self-identity. Now, some may laugh at them, but I do not. I actually rather find otherkin/therians/lifestylers eccentric, but otherwise quite charming. It takes all kinds to make a world. And, frankly, the world becomes such a dull place when one drives the oddballs away.

For still others, it is a combination of the aforementioned-sometimes all these things at once. Whatever the case, I always found much of the antipathy towards furries to be disproportionate. Whatever excuse one could come up, I will always take their side. My philosophy is summed by by a line from The Iron Giant. When the fisherman was relating his sighting of the giant to his buddies, Dean the beatnik said 'Yeah, I saw it too.' He didn't. But what he said has stuck with me since I was a small child.

Here it goes:

javascript:a=document.getElementsByClassName('zoom');for(var i in a)a[i].onclick()

Is this allowed? I know it consumes more bandwith, but I find it really hard to fap to a thread otherwise. It's a standard feature in many *chans really.

If you don't want me to do that, you could do some work on an usable interface. For example, make a single click on the thumbnail expand it instead of making me hunt for a 40x40 button (newfapchan does this), or easy keyboard navigation for single-handed browsing.

(PS it might not work when copied in the address bar, you should put it in a bookmark)
